The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Using the proper multi-grade motor oil is usually recommended by manufacturers for use in today’s modern engines. Not using the correct engine oil will compromise the performance and reliability of your engine.

For decades, Motul’s SAE OW-20 Fully Synthetic Engine Oil has been proven to meet the quality standards recommended for viscosity in providing good fuel economy and assures optimum protection during cold starting. In technical terms, the “OW” portion of the oil viscosity rating indicates the characteristics of the oil which allows startability. Oils with lower value before the W allow for easier starting of the engine in cold weather. The 20 in OW-20 indicates the viscosity of the oil’s operating temperature. Motul’s OW-20 engine oil has been scientifically proven and race track-tested to provide engine protection during high-speed driving or extreme engine loads.

Motul engine oils have excellent anti-oxidation properties, preventing premature thickening and aging due to thermal stress. Its high-performance anti-wear additive increases engine life and decreases wear by reducing engine internal friction, resulting in smooth and light acceleration.

Motul’s recommendation is to read the label and look for the International Lubricant Standardization and Approval Committee or ILSAC certification mark of your oil on your next oil change.

(HARI), official distributor of Hyundai in the Philippines, and HARIBON Foundation, the country’s pioneering crusader for nature conservation and eco-stewardship, unveiled last September 25 the second HARI EcoVan at the Hyundai headquarters in Makati City.

This will be the second of the country’s first-ever fully-customized classroom-on-wheels in the Philippines to promote biodiversity. Like its predecessor, the second HARI EcoVan, which was customized by HFI for HARIBON in partnership with Centro Manufacturing Corporation, features a cargo deck configured into a small classroom with a built-in library, audio-visual system with a large screen for film showing and AVP presentations, interactive games, an art booth for art workshops and storytelling, and a display of HARIBON merchandise and information materials.

This second mobile eco-classroom will be deployed to the Visayas region to widen the reach and spread of the green advocacy of HFI and HARIBON. A third HARI EcoVan is in the works and will be donated early next year by HFI for the Mindanao region.

To date, a total of 1,794 grade schoolers and 130 kindergarten students in five public schools in Metro Manila have benefited from the HARI Ecovan.

The first HARI EcoVan was unveiled and turned over to HARIBON during its 40th anniversary celebration on Earth Day last April 22. To date, it has visited five elementary schools in Makati, Quezon City, and Marikina with over 1,900 students benefitting from the biodiversity learning sessions given by the Training and Education team of the Haribon Foundation. Other schools in Metro Manila are being lined up for the next batch of learning sessions.

Through HARI Foundation, Inc. (HFI), HARI commits to localizing Hyundai Motor Company’s (HMC) global bid to promote a lifestyle of authentic caring and sharing. HFI aims to be an upstanding agent of change to empower Filipinos to lead productive and responsible lives and contributes its share in building a strong and proud Filipino nation.
