JAC unveils Sunray Executive Coach

MANILA, Philippines - There is a rise in the number of Multi Purpose Vehicles (MPV’s) being sold in the Philippines. The versatility of MPV’s has appealed to many families who feel that a sedan is too small and an SUV is too big (or too expensive). MPV’s offer the right space and seating for a medium-sized family with ample space for gear and everything else a family might need for a weekend vacation or the everyday commute to school and office.

In line with this, JAC, keeping its promise to Filipinos to provide quality yet affordable vehicles, introduces the JAC Sunray, a 6-meter VIP Van with reclining captain seats. The exterior of the Sunray is reminiscent of elegant European design. The whole body is aerodynamically designed, lowering drag coefficient to improve fuel economy. Side “sea view” windows offer a panoramic view while rear double doors open a full 180 degrees, allowing for easy loading and access to rear cargo.

Interiors are ultra-modern with an elegant feel. Controls and dials are very car-like for easy operation. There is also a central locking feature as well as independent front and rear air conditioning. The audio system reads WMA and MP3 formats while the 8-way adjustable seats provide comfort even on long drives. The cabin is heavily insulated for a quieter ride even at high speeds while the suspension is tuned to handle potholes and bumps with ease.

Safety-wise, the JAC Sunray’s body is made of high-strength steel while airbags and 3-point seatbelts come as standard. The side mirrors offer high visibility and are foldable to avoid scratching or breakage in tight spaces. Brakes are front discs and rear drums and are aided by ABS and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) for added safety and maneuverability even in emergency braking situations. There is also a proximity sensor and a rear-view camera to aid in reversing maneuvers.

All this is powered by a front-mounted 2.8-liter Isuzu CRDi, inline-4, diesel engine that passes Euro III standards, affirming JAC’s commitment to being environment friendly. It has a generous 80-liter fuel tank for a long driving range. The Sunray is rear-wheel-drive to provide superior ruggedness, better driving balance, and superb climbing ability.

JAC has a total of 10 showrooms and 20 service centers all over Metro Manila, Cavite, Baguio, Isabela, Cebu, Bacolod, Iloilo, Davao, and Cagayan de Oro.
