Goodyear's Highway Helper iPhone app now also on Android

MANILA, Philippines - Goodyear, one of the world’s leading tire brands, has launched its highly anticipated smart phone app, Highway Helper on Android. This is in response to the explosive growth of smartphone users in Asia who are using apps as a life-enhancement productivity tool for functions like driving in the Philippines.

The Goodyear Highway Helper app was developed to cater to the needs of drivers on the road, making any road trip a hassle-free experience. Goodyear’s reintroduction of its unique Highway Helper mobile app with new and improved multi-functional application features will make summer road trips a happy and relaxing experience for everyone. 

Offering safety, education and entertainment real-time to every driver, Goodyear’s Highway Helper app allows quick access to emergency phone numbers such as police, taxi and towing services. Users are also able to receive automotive tire support while on the road, with easy access to information on car maintenance, troubleshooting and listings of all Goodyear branded service center locations nationwide (Goodyear Autocare, Goodyear Servitek and TyrePro).

For entertainment, this app also comes with a games section unlocked by short quizzes on car and tire maintenance, which allows users to share their game scores with their friends on Facebook. 

This new version has been updated for Android smartphone users to appeal to a wider base of driving consumers. The latest edition of the application includes enhanced features such as tire health maintenance, daily road conditions and push tips for driving. The Highway Helper was the first application in the automotive industry and the first for Goodyear globally.

Since its launch on Apple AppStore, the app reached 4.5 stars in its peak. The success of Goodyear Highway Helper prodded the company to improve its features and expand to Android phones to cater to more motorists who need highway assistance anytime, anywhere.
