The construction of the carrier is also changed with new wheel holders for easier loading. When loaded, the bikes are quickly secured and later released by using the wheel straps, adjustable for different wheel sizes. The whole mounting is easy since the carrier has no loose part attached to it and the convenient Quick Mounting System supports fast and easy mounting on both square and aero bars.

The Thule 594 XT sidearm can easily be combined with the Thule SlideBar. The functionality of sliding the roof rack out from the car makes it very easy also to lift the bikes on to the roof and to fasten them to the Thule 594 XT. With the 594 XT, you get maximum frame protection with this upright roof-mounted bike rack as it makes contact with the wheel only.
