Hyundai provides vehicles to Organizing Committee of 2011 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup

MANILA, Philippines - Hyundai Motor is providing a fleet of 50 vehicles to the organizing committee of 2011 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup as the exclusive official automotive supplier to the event, which takes place at Marina di Ravenna, Italy, from September 1 to 11.

The cars available include the new i40, the compact crossover SUV ix35, the mid-size crossover SUV Santa Fe, the multi-purpose vehicle ix20, and the H-1 minibus for transporting larger groups. The vehicles will be used to transport FIFA officials, national teams, referees and media representatives throughout the tournament.

The VIK (value-in-kind) handover ceremony, held recently at Ravenna Stadium, was attended by Yongsung Kim, President of Hyundai Motor Company Italy, Joan Cusco, Managing Director of 2011 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, Ferdinando Arcopinto, General Manager from Local Organizing Committee, as well as officials from the municipality of Ravenna, media members and other guests.
