MANILA, Philippines – New participants to the 4th Auto Review Run for Road Safety and Courtesy which will hit the road this Saturday with some 2,000 runners at 5 am at Bonifacio Global City in Taguig will be surprised to find new car models being displayed in the post-race activity area. The event is not just a race but a virtual mini-car show with some of the country’s major car companies highlighting the safety features of their latest vehicle models.
Here are some of the cars that will be displayed this weekend: Mitsubishi ASX, Volvo XC60 and C30, Great Wall’s Hover 4x4 SUV and Cool Bear, Hyundai’s Stanta Fe and Getz, Isuzu’s D-MAX Radikal, Ford Fiesta, Chevrolet Cruze and Spark, Nissan Sentra 200 and X-Trail, Kia Soul and Rio and Mini Cooper.
Caltex, one of the three oil companies supporting the event will also put up a gas station-like display with emphasis on their advocacies for road safety and environment.
The 10k, 5k and 3k races will have their respective out-and-back routes from the Global City’s 28th St. with veteran race organizer Rudy Biscocho serving as technical race consultant. Registered runners get to wear a collectible pedestrian lane-inspired singlet which has a reflective strip at the back designed to enhance their visibility on the road.
Also supporting the race whose advocacy aims to nurture a new generation of safety-conscious and courteous motorists and road users are Goodyear, Automobile Association Philippines, AGC glass, Manila North Tollways Corporation, Pocari Sweat and Maynilad Water, with special participation from Toyota, Honda, Shell, Land Rover, Petron, BMW, Jaguar, One-Tagaytay Place, Bluewater Day Spa, 7-Eleven, Walter bread, and Tapa King.
Runners will be kept busy with other post-race activities such as the Road Safety Quiz, Dribble for Safety Challenge and interpretation of Noel Cabangon’s song, “Ako’y Isang Mabuting Pilipino,” among others.

Mesa Heights,Quezon City, ROX and Runnr at the Fort and Toby’s outlets at SM North-The Block in Quezon City and Park Square, Makati, Mizuno at Club 650 C-5 Libis QC, Mizuno at MOA and Festival Mall and Photo Tech Festival Mall in Alabang, Muntinlupa City.
