New Shell Rimula Heavy-Duty Engine Oils Make It Easier To Choose The Right Protection For Your Engine

MANILA, Philippines - Shell Lubricants recently announced changes to its well established Shell Rimula range of heavy duty diesel engine oils. The changes are designed to make it much easier for individual users to find the oil that is right for their vehicle as well as offering an improved range of performance products.

“The current structure of the Shell Rimula range was established back in the early 1990s,” said Lyndon Lumain, Marketing Manager for Shell Lubricants. “But things have moved on since then both from the specification standpoint and from the customer desire for their lubricants to deliver added-value such as fuel-economy performance.”

The new Shell Rimula Energised Protection range features oil technology designed to adapt to the changing needs of the engine. The new range takes into account changes in technology as well customer requirements while making it easier for users to identify the right oil for their operation.

“The new Shell Rimula range is the springboard for launching our latest and improved technologies from reliable performance at the Shell Rimula R1 tier to the triple action protection of Shell Rimula R3 X that reflect Shell’s continuing commitment to meeting the needs of the transport industry now and in the future,” said John Ligan, Technical Manager, Shell Lubricants.

The new Shell Rimula range of heavy-duty engine oils will be available from May 15, 2010.

Shell markets a full range of complementary brands and products to the users of heavy-duty equipment including Shell Spirax gear and axle oils, Shell Donax automatic transmission fluids, Shell Retinax greases and Shell Coolgard OAT Coolants.
