Borja takes 3 Poles, 3 Wins in PPCC

MANILA, Philippines - Castrol-DarkSide Racing Team, in cooperation with Goodyear Racing, and supported by Autotechnika, Dubshop, Motech service center, A-toy bodykits, H&R, Bilstein, Hooters Manila Bay & Maxx Energie ventures, ended the 2009 Philippine Production Car Championship (PPCC) season on a high, scoring a total of 3 Pole Positions, 3 Wins, and numerous fastest laps, while also stamping its name in the history books when ace driver, Jeff Borja, set a new lap record of 1 minute 37.280 seconds, for its class in the PPCC Series at Subic Int’l Raceway.

“It was a brilliant race, the best I’ve ever driven, and a win from last place is the best way to thank everyone that has helped us achieve this and this is my thank you! I have to especially thank my friends Jamie Gomez, Gomer Palana, Lido Macabatao, Edmond Fernandez, my brother Mark Borja, Chuck Montecillo, my true mentor & friend, and of course my beautiful girlfriend, Diane Montecillo, who is also ready to step into the cockpit. The support you have given me is unbelievable! I love all you guys,” a clearly emotional Jeff said after dominantly winning the last two races of the season. When asked about plans for next season, he replied, “I don’t know exactly yet, but I want to race wherever the best drivers in the country are racing.”
