Borja quickest in PPCC 3rd leg

-

MANILA, Philippines - Castrol-DarkSide Racing Team, in cooperation with Goodyear Racing, scored their second consecutive pole position, set fastest laps, and earned a victory at Subic International Raceway during the 3rd leg of the Philippine Production Car Championship (PPCC) Series, with ace driver Jeff Borja behind the wheel of their Civic touring car. The weekend saw the team set a new lap record of 1min37.35 for the 2009 series, while also setting the fastest lap times in every race. It was a race that saw the survival of the fittest, as the Ford Focus drivers committed errors that caused heavy damage to both cars. Jeff Borja, Doby Atilano, Dominic Uy, and the others battled it out for top honors in a close fight all the way to the chequered flag.

“We’re quick because we worked hard, and never lost our drive to win, despite going through rough times. But the best part is, we know we can go quicker still! It’s just a matter of tuning and practice,” said an elated Jeff after the race. Team manager Diane Montecillo was also thrilled with the results and said, “It’s been a long time coming, and I’ve always had confidence in Jeff, because he knows exactly how to stretch the limits, it’s amazing to watch!”

Castrol-DarkSide Racing Team is supported by Goodyear Racing, Autotechnika, Dubshop, Motech service center, A-toy bodykits, H&R, Bilstein, Hooters Manila Bay & Maxx Energie ventures.
