MANILA, Philippines - UnionBank has given its full support to Kia’s Trade-Up Deals by extending its car loan facilities to non-Kia owners who trade-up to a Kia so that they may also get to enjoy a Free Hong Kong/Disneyland Holiday for the family. Kia’s free HK Holiday promo used to be limited only to car owners who trade up their current Kia vehicle for a brand new model as part of Kia’s loyalty reward program in conjunction with their 20th Year in the Philippines.
“We are happy to support Kia in this special promotion program that gives tremendous value to the public,” says Genaro V. Lapez, head of UnionBank’s Consumer Finance Center. “Our car loan facilities are available both to current Kia owners as well as those who own other vehicle brands. As a special treat, we shall extend them the same free Hong Kong/Disneyland Holiday for the family if the trade-up is availed through a car loan provided by UnionBank. This is our way of supporting Kia in celebrating its 20th year in the Philippines and also showing that UnionBank strives to deliver unique benefits to its customers. This is aligned with UnionBank’s thrust on optimizing the value of partnerships that benefit customer experience and expand customer franchise,” he adds.
For his part, Columbian Autocar Corporation (CAC) president and chief operating officer (COO) Felix J. Mabilog Jr., welcomed UnionBank’s support for Kia’s trade-up program. CAC is the official distributor of Kia in the Philippines.

Car owners who trade up their current unit for a Picanto, Rio or K2700 get to enjoy two round-trip Manila-Hong Kong-Manila tickets via Philippine Airlines (economy class) plus a 3 days/2 nights hotel accommodation and free breakfasts outside the hotel, half-day city tour and Disneyland day tour (inclusive of entrance tickets). Those who trade up to a Carens, Sportage, Sorento and Carnival automatically get four roundtrip Manila-Hong Kong-Manila tickets, plus the above mentioned travel inclusions and amenities.
Travel must be availed within six months from the date of purchase of the Kia vehicle, and the travel date is subject to availability of airline seats and hotel accommodations. Travel may not also be booked during peak periods, specifically the period of March 27-29 and April 3-10, 2009. Pertinent travel documents and rebooking fee are to the traveler’s account (if rebooked). The Kia trade-up special gift (Airline ticket and hotel accommodation) is transferable but not convertible to cash and the sale must be consummated before the special gift is given.
