Toyota awards best service advisors and technicians

MANILA, Philippines - Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation (TMPC), reinforces its commitment to customer satisfaction number one as it held the annual Service Skills Olympics for the 7th Body and Paint Categories last January 22-23, 2009 at the Sta. Rosa Plant. Every year, TMP’s Customer Service Operations (CSO) spearheads a Skills Olympics for all Toyota Dealer Network for General Job and Body and Paint Categories, alternately. This event aims to improve the company’s Customer Satisfaction efforts by enhancing the skill levels and competency of Toyota’s Service Personnel. TMP ranked number one in Customer Satisfaction Index according to the 2008 J.D. Power Survey.

The two-day event kicked-off with a Written Examination followed by a Short Practical Test for all the 33 participating Dealer Body and Paint (BP) Service Advisors and BP Technicians. On the second day, excitement filled the air as all participants marched for the Parade of Champions. The event was formally opened by the President of TMP, Hiroshi Ito, who challenged everyone to continue their passion in delivering quality service to our customers to achieve Total Customer Satisfaction.

Likewise, the event was well attended by TMP officers namely Dr. David T. Go, Senior Executive Vice President, Yuji Goto, Executive Vice President, Marketing Division, Santos Y. Guerrero, Senior Vice President, Marketing Division and Motonori Oshima, First Vice President for Customer Service Operations, Marketing Division. Toyota Dealer Principals and Managers nationwide were also present to support their participants.

The highlight of the event was the Final Round for the Top 18 Finalists. The six BP Service Advisors competed in the Role Playing Contest while the 12 BP Technicians showed their technical skills in the Final Practical Contest.

Overall, the event was a tremendous success together with the relentless support and commitment of the Toyota Dealer Network. BP Service Advisor Albert A. Enciso II of Toyota Cubao, Inc., Body Technician Anthony D. Belonio of Toyota Davao City, Inc. and Paint Technician Alexander S. Labarientos of Toyota Dagupan City, Inc. emerged as the National Champions for the 2008 Toyota Service Skills Olympics for the 7th Body and Paint Categories.

Finally, Santos Y. Guerrero expressed his heartfelt thanks to all the participants and dealer management. “May the success of our champions be a source of inspiration to other team members, igniting in them the flame of hardwork and dedication that would surely make our company withstand any challenge that would come its way,” he ended.

Winners of the National BP Service Skills Olympics received cash prizes, medals, symbolic cups and foreign trips, respectively.
