The month of June is traditionally a month of marriages and Norkis-Yamaha chose this month for a marriage of a different kind: the bond between man and machine.
As part of Yamahas SWITCH campaign and their theme of "Riding in Style", enthusiasts were treated to an exciting display of motorcycles when the Yamaha Motor Show opened at the ground floor of the Edsa Shangri-La mall in Mandaluyong last Sunday, June 27. The motor show, the first of its kind in the country, currently features Yamahas concept bikes, Moto-GP racers, sports bikes, trail bikes and new products for off-road performance and on-road riding pleasure showcased in an international level of presentation.
Among the Yamaha motorcycles on display is the Infineon concept bike. This innovative concept features two-wheel drive with the rear wheel driven by a gasoline-powered single while the front wheel is driven by an electric motor for those moments when front wheel traction is needed. Another interesting bike on display is the high-performance Yamaha M1 racer that is helping factory rider Valentino Rossi capture the checkered flag in the Moto-GP. The 2004 Yamaha YZF-R1 super sports bike, which shares its designs with the Moto-GP racers, will be showcased along with the M1 racer.
These dream bikes are complemented with displays of Yamahas range of off-road and on-road motorcycle models, including the new Yamaha Nouvo, the first under-bone/moped with the fully-automatic CVT transmission and the riding convenience of a scooter. The Crypton R, Crypton Z, the Serow 225 and other exciting Yamaha motorcycles are likewise on display.
Manuel Gaspar "Boy" Albos, the EVP for marketing of Norkis Trading Co., Inc. stated that Yamaha came out with the motor show to create the awareness that the motorcycle is the most practical means of transportation around the metropolis, especially with the worsening traffic congestion and the rising prices of fuel products. Besides the economic benefits they bring to their riders, motorcycles have also contributed to the business environment with the sales, service, spare parts and after-market accessories of bikes creating a new industry that provides employment benefits to the countrys work force.
With Norkis-Yamahas "Learn-to-Ride" program, extensive dealer network and excellent after-sales and service support team, motorcycle riding safety is enhanced while the ownership experience is made more fun and enjoyable. People have started switching to Yamaha motorcycles. Its time you do, too! See the Yamaha Motor Show which is ongoing until July 11.
