Oil industry leader Petron Corp. is proving its commitment to support innovations in the automotive industry as it backs the upcoming 12th Motorshow International at the World Trade Center next month.
Aside from putting up a pavilion at the show, Petron will be sponsoring the annual Car Clubs Meet, a gathering of motoring enthusiasts in the country. Participants in the meet can win different awards, among them Best in Show, the "Pangmatagalan" for vintage cars, and Most Unique Entry.
Petron, through its number one product Blaze, is also backing up the Vintage/Exotic Cars Fun Run which is a contest among vintage and exotic car owners who would have the chance to drive their vehicles in an obstacle course.
Motorshow International started in 1981 as the Transhow. It has grown through the years to become the countrys biggest motoring event, attracting major car manufacturers and big industry players.
For this year, it is being sponsored by Petron, Oriental and Motolite Corp., Eva Air, Bayer, and various government agencies.
