A 20-year journey

Marking a significant milestone, top-notch five- star hotel in the Crown Jewel of Mindanao Marco Polo Davao recently celebrated its 20th anniversary. Graced by the presence of President Rodrigo Duterte and under the remarkable leadership of Marco Polo Davao general manager Dottie Würgler-Cronin and director of sales and marketing Pearl Peralta-Maclang, the festivities were attended by VIP guests from the business sector, diplomatic corps, government, media and high society. “Marco Polo Davao [is] the epicenter of events for the city,” Wharf Hotels Management (WHM) president Jennifer Cronin said, “and today prides itself on being the Heart of Davao.” She also presented a peacock embroi- dery artwork as a gift from WHM which symbol- izes power, grace, and continued good fortune for the hotel.
