It is often said, among gentlemen, that the real battle of wits does not happen inside the boardroom but on the putting green. At the awarding ceremonies of the 2014 Golden Tee Invitational Tournament held at the Manila Golf and Country Club, movers and shakers in politics, banking, automotive, legal and diplomatic circles in the country gathered for several rounds of competitive golf and a much-needed respite from the wheeling and dealing that goes on in the corporate world.
