Business As Usual

‘Giants of the game’

BUSINESS CHIC - Johnny Litton - The Philippine Star

It was a gathering of industry titans during the first entrepreneurial summit of the Association of Young Filipino-Chinese Entrepreneurs (AYFCE) held at the Makati Shangri-La’s Rizal Ballroom. The meticulously planned, business centered forums were headlined by trailblazers who shared the secrets behind their respective successes: Lamoiyan Corporation president and CEO and founder of Hapee toothpaste Dr. Cecilio Pedro, MyPhone founder David Lim, Sulit.com.ph founder RJ David, and Pancake House Group chairman and CEO Martin Lorenzo. It was a truly extraordinary event to have such powerhouses in one room which has never been done in the history of Philippine business clubs. The charismatic and grounding forums will likely inspire a new generation of great businessmen (and women!) whom, no doubt, will redefine the Philippines. The summit, led by AYFCE chairman emeritus George Siy, chairman Jeffrey Ng and president Jovenson Ong, graciously ended with the ever elusive, highly fascinating, powerful businesswoman SM Investments Corp. vice chairperson Tessie Sy-Coson who shared her precious words of wisdom.  There’s no other way around it; one has to work hard to succeed.
