The ‘Benz’: Then and now

It was a welcome step back in time as antique Mercedes-Benz models shared the limelight with the famous German luxury carmaker’s new Mercedes-Benz S-Class.  At the exclusive premiere of Mercedes-Benz’s latest creation, the VIP guests were visibly awed by the lineup of five vintage Benz models (as early as the ‘50s) which were quite an eyeful, to say the least.  The car brand’s trademark reliability and sophistication—looks and performance-wise—were clearly evident many decades ago.  CATS Motors Inc. chairman Greg Yu and president Felix Ang led their guests, among them, Indonesian ambassador Yohanes Kristiarto Legowo, New Zealand ambassador Reuben Levermore, and top-level businessmen to the Peninsula Manila’s Rigodon Ballroom for a vision of the “ultimate car.”  As always, the Mercedes-Benz is a picture of luxury and an engineering feat!
