‘Bancom Memoirs’ book launch

Family and friends of economic planner, investment banker and environmentalist Sixto K. Roxas shared his excitement at the launching of his book “Bancom Memoirs” at the Grand Ballroom of Dusit Thani Manila.  The event went smoothly with Dusit Thani Manila general manager Alex Willats attending to the details. Bancom was the pioneering investment bank that was the dominant force in the Philippine financial markets beginning in the mid-sixties through the seventies. Prominent guests and hundreds of Bancom alumni graced the event to have an autographed copy of the book co-published by PLDT-Smart Foundation and Bancom Alumni Inc.  Among those seen at the launch were Philippine Hoteliers Inc. vice chairman and president Evelyn Singson, PLDT chairman Manuel Pangilinan, Asian Institute of Management and SGV founder Washington SyCip, and former House Speaker Jose de Venecia.  The book launch also served as a happy reunion for long lost colleagues of Bancom!
