Over 200 guests joined Philippine Tatler managing director Irene Martel-Francisco and Tatler Traveller editor Mia Borromeo in celebrating the release of its special title “Philippine Tatler Traveller, Volume 2†at Tin Hau, the gourmet Chinese restaurant of the Mandarin Oriental, Manila. With his gorgeous floral arrangements, architect and interior designer Chito Antonio totally transformed the venue and, with the help of large frameless TVs, brought the viewer into the pages of the magazine along with a trendy video on Visa’s latest offerings. With Tatler Traveller’s international lineup of features, food served for the affair had to be as varied. Thanks to the unbeatable team of Mandarin Oriental, Manila hotel manager Oliver Kreuzer, communications director Charisse Chuidian and food and beverage director Peter Pysk for the splendid assortment of Peking duck rolls, Szechuan-style marinated jellyfish, Parma ham with melon, vegetable samosas, and a lot more that appealed to sophisticated palates. Bubbly and red wine flowed all night as well as a selection of Tatler’s signature drinks like classic, dirty and lychee martinis perfect for the summer. Destined to be the insider’s guide to luxury traveling, Tatler Traveller, as expected, received a very warm response — definitely a must-read for Manila’s A-list. To cap the evening, exciting prizes were raffled off to the lucky guests. Congratulations to Tatler!
