MANILA, Philippines - “An educated human resource is important to the success of a business.” This was the gist of a recent forum held during the general membership meeting of the Management Association of the Philippines (MAP) in Makati’s premier hotel Dusit Thani Manila. The guest of honor, Education secretary Armin Luistro, fielded questions after his talk on the DepEd’s initiatives in improving the quality of basic education in the country, particularly in implementing the K to 12 program and in addressing the shortage of classrooms and teachers. The new MAP members were also inducted during the assembly. Indeed, an educated population is key to a peaceful, progressive and prosperous society. Congratulations to the MAP!
