Soccer icons troop to The Bellevue Manila
Aspiring young athletes were given a chance to be trained by soccer stars as The Bellevue Manila, Southern Metro’s five-star hotel, served as the official residence of the Chelsea Football Club (FC). A Thanksgiving Dinner was held at the well-appointed Grand Ballroom at the hotel’s Tower Wing which was thoroughly enjoyed by the members of the team, special guests and friends from the media. The Younghusband Football Academy (TYFA) directors, brothers Phil and James Younghusband of the Philippine Team Azkals led the event, affirming their goal of providing expert guidance to the young athletes of the country. Thanks to the ingenuity of The Bellevue Hotels and Resorts (BH&R) chairman Johnny Chan, managing director Patrick Chan and corporate director for marketing and communications Ryan Chan, the gathering achieved its goals and was a big help to the future sporting icons of the country. Cheers!

True generosity
In these trying times, it was a huge boost for the country’s disaster-preparedness efforts when Wilcon Depot, the country’s leading supplier of construction and home improvement supplies, donated P1 million to the Philippine Red Cross’ (PRC) “Million Volunteer Run”. The fund-raising project aims to build a network of 143 volunteers in every barangay, school and workplace who will donate blood, respond to disasters and help Filipinos in distress. As a corporate citizen, Wilcon believes in helping the Filipino people whenever and wherever it can, working in tandem with humanitarian institutions like the PRC.
