A warm welcome for The Bellevue Resort
Another welcome addition to the growing domestic investments in Panglao Island in Bohol is The Bellevue Resort, the newest and only five star destination in the island. Just recently, local officials and some special guests were welcomed to this multi-million property headed by The Bellevue Hotels and Resorts (BH&R) chairman Johnny Chan, managing director Patrick Chan and corporate director for marketing and communications Ryan Chan. The project is seen to be very beneficial to the Philippines, in general and Bohol in particular, that the initial and first ever dinner hosted by the investment-conscious chairman had as guests of honor officials of the local government led by Bohol governor Edgardo Chatto and Panglao mayor Benedicto Alcala. It was also the perfect moment to course tie-ups with other tourist attractions including the lush Tarsier Botanika filled with the natural wonders of the island, just a few minutes away from the resort. The event, being of high magnitude in the local scene prompted Cebu’s veteran talk show host and The Philippine Star’s Bobit Avila to cover the gathering. The Bellevue Resort general manager Franz Eichenauer ensured optimum satisfaction of the VIPs and everyone present with a luscious seven course meal served in an al fresco dining area set-up especially for the event. More than being a luxurious getaway, The Bellevue Resort contributes largely to the development of the province as it provides employment to hundreds of local residents. Aside from employment, The Bellevue Resort also utilizes Philippine-made materials such as steel, cement, timber and even fabrics, making it an authentic Filipino asset. Congratulations to The Bellevue Hotels and Resorts team for this wonderful jumpstart for The Bellevue Resort! We will definitely see more enticing treats in the coming days. In support of science and technology
Building materials were donated to the Philippine Foundation for Science and Technology (PFST) by Wilcon Depot, the country’s premier supplier of high-quality construction and home improvement supplies, for the repair and enhancement of the galleries of the Philippine Science Centrum (PSC), the PFST’s flagship program, located at the Riverbanks Center in Marikina. To help promote scientific awareness among Filipinos, Wilcon also sponsored the transportation of two industrial-scale container vans for the use of PFST in its “Adventures in Discovery—Travelling Science Centrum” exhibit held at the Siargao National College of Science and Technology in Surigao del Norte.
