Business As Usual

Choosing to dream differently

BUSINESS CHIC - Johnny Litton - The Philippine Star

Gracing the business forum sponsored by the joint alumni clubs of top universities in the US was His Excellency Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino, III. The President was welcomed by First Life Financial Co., Inc. president Peter Coyiuto, the president of the Wharton-Penn Alumni Association. The Rigodon Ballroom of the Peninsula Manila was filled with former students of Columbia, Cornell, Harvard, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Northwestern-Kellog, Stanford and Wharton-Penn universities. Among the VIP guests were Finance secretary Cesar Purisima, Transportation and Communications secretary Mar Roxas, Energy secretary Jose Rene Almendras, Interior and Local Government secretary Jesse Robredo and Trade and Industry secretary Gregory Domingo. In his speech, President Aquino thanked the first-world university degree holders for not leaving their countrymen behind in pursuit of their dreams. To conclude, we concur with the President’s ideal of turning the Philippines into “a country of potential fulfilled.” Cheers to all!
