Cold and green in Pampanga

After three decades in the business and a recent expansion, Alma Refrigeration & Cold Storage, Inc. unveiled the country’s biggest and very first “green-compliant” cold storage facility in North Luzon. Located in San Fernando, Pampanga, the most modern facility is furnished with energy-efficient equipment using environment-friendly refrigerants including LED lighting that help reduce carbon emissions. For the official launch, Alma Refrigeration & Cold Storage, Inc. president and chief executive officer Alfredo “Jun” Lagman, Jr. invited Senate Agriculture and Food Committee chairman Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan. Joining the senator at the ribbon-cutting rites were Bank of Philippine Islands president (BPI) Aurelio “Gigi” Montinola III, Foremost Farms, Inc. chief operating officer Sharon Tan, Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) national chairperson, former ambassador Henrietta “Tita” de Villa and San Fernando Electric Light and Power Company, Inc. senior vice president and general manager Jose “Babes” Lazatin. During the blessing officiated by Bishop Teodoro Bacani, Jun expressed his gratitude to the suppliers, contractors who worked round the clock to finish this facility in five months’ time, dealers, customers, his fellow Cabalen and to the guests, some traveling all the way from Manila just for the occasion. Congratulations, Jun, and more power!
