A Filipino in the German car design crew

To encourage aspiring artists and car designers, Mercedes-Benz lead designer Winifredo “Wini” Camacho shared his experiences working as the lone Filipino in the renowned German luxury car brand’s design team recently at “Design Talks”, a lecture series held at the Ayala Museum. Wini belonged to the design think tank responsible for the exterior of the latest Mercedes-Benz E-Class. After 13 years in Germany, Wini now works at the Mercedes-Benz Advanced Design Center of China in Beijing. Mercedes-Benz cars are exclusively distributed in the country by CATS Motors, Inc. which is headed by its chairman Greg Yu and president Felix Ang. Here’s to Filipino ingenuity!

Mamma Mia! in Manila
