NetSuite doubles operations in RP
MANILA, Philippines - NetSuite, a leading vendor of cloud computing business management software, is doubling its operations in Manila to strengthen its hold in the Philippine market and build on its position as the country’s largest cloud computing applications vendor.
The company also announced a new localized product called NetSuite Version 2009.2 to meet the requirements of the Department of Finance (DOF) and the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) with their key tax compliance reporting and data exporting.
Cloud computing enables big companies’ accounts to manage multinational and multi-sub business operations.
“Manila’s strong, business-friendly infrastructure has been a tremendous asset to NetSuite, along with a top-notch educational system and well-spoken, service-driven employees,” said Zach Nelson, NetSuite CEO who visited the country recently.
“The acceptance of our cloud-based business applications product by global companies headquartered in Manila is a great testament to the strength of NetSuite in meeting the needs of local industry,” Nelson said.
Manila, which today serves as a key center for NetSuite’s global technical support, services and back-office operations, is expanding to include product development and quality assurance capabilities of clients.
The company, which now employs nearly 300 people, has household-name clients such as Jollibee, ABS-CBN, Diamond Fleet Management System, and Motech Automotive Education Center.
Established in January 2007, NetSuite’s Manila headquarters is the company’s largest office outside the United States.
NetSuite’s Philippines efforts are led by James Dantow, general manager and vice president of Worldwide Support.
The BIR has also endorsed the NetSuite 2209.2 for use in big agencies’ operations.
This new NetSuite product targets a market opportunity that is gaining significant attention in large enterprises struggling to control costs and gain greater efficiencies across key business processes, Nelson explained.
While some companies spend vast sums on corporate implementations of integrated suites, the new business software system would not have difficulty delivering the functionality and flexibility needed to manage and drive the multiple divisions that make up today’s typical large multinational corporartions, he said.
NetSuite helps to address this need by delivering a modern, cloud-based software system that enables the management of divisions within complex, multinational corporations and multi-subsidiary companies to integrate to e-cusiness suite at the corporate level.
The system helps in filing data such as invoices, purchase orders, item fulfillments (shipments), journal entries, inventory adjustments, time entries, and expense reports, Nelson said.
