PSBank remote banking enables online donations for Operation Smile

MANILA, Philippines - PSBank clients can now make online donations to Operation Smile Philippines Foundation through PSBank Remote Banking.

PSBank SVP and E-Banking head Jaime V.L. Araneta, together with SVP and chief finance officer Perfecto Ramon Dimayuga Jr., signed a memorandum of agreement for online donation partnership with Operation Smile president and executive director Roberto Manzano and vice president Patricia Arches.

“Operation Smile is excited about the opportunities that our partner, PSBank, has put in place through this online fundraising facility,” Manzano said, “This will certainly help generate funding support for our mission of providing free reconstructive surgery to indigent Filipino children born with facial deformities. This initiative by PSBank is indeed commendable.”

Operation Smile will join 33 institutions that currently accept online payments and donations through PSBank Remote Banking, the bank’s secure and convenient Internet banking facility. 

“We are very happy to partner with Operation Smile in this noble undertaking. This is a good example of integrating our corporate social responsibility efforts with our innovative products and services that translate to speed, convenience, and reliability for all our customers,” Araneta said.

“We will continue to aggressively expand our roster of regional and local partner institutions that accept payments online because our goal is to make PSBank Remote Banking the online space for consumer payments.”

Aside from bills payment and donations, PSBank Remote Banking also allows customers to access loan and deposit account information and statements of account, transfer funds, view images of negotiated checks, re-order checkbooks, and apply for new loans from any Internet-enabled computer worldwide, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Operation Smile Philippines Foundation, Inc. is a private, not-for-profit volunteer medical services organization and worldwide children’s medical charity that provides reconstructive surgery to indigent children and young adults with facial deformities. 

The online donation facility complements PSBank’s ongoing campaign of collecting contributions through Operation Smile coin banks that have been distributed to all its head office units and 170 branches nationwide. The bank aims to raise funds for more Operation Smile surgeries that cost P15,000 per child.
