Keeping the spirit alive

Continuing the philanthropic spirit of a great woman and a respected leader, the Justice Cecilia Muñoz Palma Foundation, was recently launched at the Manila Polo Club. The launching of the foundation significantly falls on the observance of the ratification of the 1987 Constitution (Constitution Day), where Justice Palma served as the president of the 1986 Constitutional Commission (ConCom). Graced by Chief Justice Reynato Puno, the affair was attended by family members and relatives, friends, and colleagues from the judiciary as well as various government agencies and organizations. The event also served as a fundraising activity for the projects of the foundation including school support for the Justice Cecilia Muñoz Palma high school, legal forum and most especially the Justice Cecilia Muñoz Palma Award.
