Great news for aspiring hoteliers and culinary masters! Through the leadership of Gerhard Kropp, regional vice president of Dusit International and president of Philippine Hoteliers Inc, owning company of Dusit International, Dusit Thani Public Company Limited has signed an agreement recently with Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) to offer Dusit Thani College’s popular curriculum in Hospitality Management at the four campuses of LPU in the Philippines. Dusit Thani Manila general manager Prateek Kumar said, “Dusit is delighted to enter into a long-term agreement with the Lyceum Group to assist in providing excellence in hospitality education for young Filipino students. Both the Manila and Cavite campuses president Roberto P. Laurel and Batangas and Laguna campuses president Peter Laurel, said the Lyceum Group “Looks forward to working for the realization of the objectives of our agreement and we are delighted to have Dusit Thani as our partner for Excellence in Hospitality Education in the Philippines.” Congratulations!

Finance Wizards Goes to Taipei

The Asia Pacific Chief Finance Officer Summit 2008 was recently held in Grand Hotel, Taipei, with the theme: Paradigm Shift – Financial Perspective of Asia Rising. Hosted by the Financial Executives Institute (FEI) Chinese Taiwan, represented by chairman Peter Hsu, FEI Philippines, headed by its president, Eduardo V. Francisco, vice president external affairs Grace Palma-Tiongco and International Relations committee chair Cesar Rubio, brought the biggest delegation. Congratulations!

One Blue affair in Boracay

The beautiful shores of island paradise Boracay served as the perfect venue as several notable people from the Ateneo de Manila High school batch ’68 flew in from all over the world to celebrate their 40th anniversary reunion at the Boracay Regency Beach Resort, the first triple-A resort located along the white sand beach. No other than its visionary chairman Henry Chusuey, who flew in on his private plane, warmly entertained the brilliant men and their spouses who absolutely had a great time in the first-class resort. Congratulations!
