Citi cardholder now a millionaire eight times over

Lucky Shell Citi cardholder’s gasoline purchase turned into a multi-million win!

But it did. Ralph is the grand prize winner of over P8 million in cash credits in Citi’s recently concluded promotion, “8x-A-Millionaire”.

Thirty four-year old Ralph, who has been a Citi cardholder since 1995, related: “Winning over P8 million is a fantastic experience. It’s actually my first time to win in a raffle, and the grand prize at that! I’m very very happy and my family is excited for me as well. At first none of us could believe this good fortune that I am now a millionaire – 8 times over. It took some time for it to sink in, and when it did, I could not stop laughing. I wanted to hug everyone.”

In Citi’s “8x-A-Milionaire” promotion, cardholders had the chance to win P8,888,888 in cash credit or 888,888 Rewards points by using their Citi card for their purchases, Cash Advance, PayLite, Call For Cash, Balance Transfer, and Citibank Reload transactions. Cardholders also earned raffle entries when they enroll their utilities to Citibank One Bill, e-statements, e-alerts, and auto-reloading, or when they apply for a Citi card through Citi Online. They also earned bonus raffle entries when they use their Citibank card for purchases at selected partner merchants such as SM Department Stores and PayLite-accredited sports merchants at the Festival Mall.

To earn more raffle entries, Ralph made sure to use his Shell Citi card frequently. While he was excited to join the promo, he never really thought of winning the grand prize. “I did not have my eye on the grand prize – I was thinking just winning would be okay. I have to say though it really feels great to be a millionaire!” shared Ralph.

From his winnings, Ralph has bought a brand-new car and is thinking of buying a house and lot. He will also share his winnings with his family. But apart from the prize, Citi offers Ralph more than he could ask for.

Besides Ralph, eight other Citi cardholders also went home as big winners in the first and second raffle draws. Six Citi cardholders are now 888,888 Rewards points richer: Alfredo Perdiguero, Chester Cinco, Marites Batac, Gilbert Alvarez, Alexis Victoriano, and Edelina Magdato.

Meanwhile, two Citi cardholders bagged P188,888 in cash credits: Antonia Tuazon and Salvacion Saipno.
