A majestic tower soars in the South
Everything is a couple of notches higher as The Bellevue Hotel, the premier business hotel south of the Metro, adds the Bellevue New Tower- built as an expansion to add more panache that offers an additional 235 rooms. Creative geniuses’ Grand Patriarch and Chairman Johnny Chan, GM Patrick Chan, and Marketing and Communications Director Ryan Chan envisioned the new tower wing with a guest-centric design that will fit the various needs and desires of discriminating guests. Boasting of a rich Asian-inspired design mixed with post-modern interiors, the Bellevue New Tower’s magnificent architecture is done by architects Esteban and Gavino Tan with its interiors by architect Arlen de Guzman, the same team behind the original and stately Bellevue Hotel.
Set to open in 2009, the Bellevue New Tower will feature topnotch amenities such as a grand Chinese restaurant that can seat up to 200 guests, a leisure bar, a world- class spa and an inviting 25x7 meter poolside deck with a kiddie pool. The Bellevue Hotel has also two more expansion projects and a beach resort underway. Adding to its uniquely master-planned developments, it will have a smaller business hotel with 150 rooms at the business district of Alabang at Madrigal Business Park, its very own high-end residence named The Bellevue Residences, and a luxury resort hotel in Bohol with 200 rooms and romantic villas.
A gathering for a worthy cause
Filipina philanthropist Loida Nicolas-Lewis hosted an exclusive bash at her luxurious home in East Hampton, an enclave of the rich and famous in the East Coast. The by-invitation only event gathered together more than 200 notable guests and raised millions of dollars in support of the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History and Culture, a foundation named after Loida’s late husband Reginald F. Lewis, the first ever African-American billionaire. The party also gave tribute to the successes of Filipino African-American couple Frank and Lolita Valderrama Savage and world-famous musician and entrepreneur Sean “P.Diddy” Combs, the first recipient of the Reginald F. Lewis Award. It was a truly spectacular celebration and a noble way of supporting one’s cultural heritage. Congratulations!
