Japanese insurers share expertise
MANILA, Philippines - The Insurance School (Non-Life) of Japan will hold a seminar with the theme, Achieving sustainable development of the insurance market, at the New World Makati Hotel on Sept. 8 and 9. The seminar, which has been held under the joint auspices of the General Insurance Association of Japan, the General Insurance Institute of Japan and the Philippine Insurers and Reinsurers Association (PIRA), is an international educational program specifically designed for insurance practitioners in the East Asian regions. The aim of this program is to provide a platform for directors, managers and practitioners to come together to address issues of mutual concern, while exchanging information and opinions on current topics within their respective insurance markets and to help them forge useful relationships. The program is made up of three different courses; the General Course, the Advanced Course and the Overseas Seminar. The General and Advanced courses are held annually for a period of two weeks in Tokyo, while the Overseas Seminar is provided in one or two cities chosen from among the ISJ participating regions every year.
