The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The Pag-IBIG Fund has achieved twin victories at the 11th annual Stevie® Awards for Women in Business when its president and chief executive officer Darlene Marie B. Berberabe, won the silver award as Female Executive of the Year in Government or Non-Profit, and the senior management team won a second silver for the Fund as Management Team of the Year at the 2014 awards dinner in New York last Nov. 14. Pag-IBIG Fund is the first Philippine government agency to win at the Stevie Awards for Women in Business, and the first government agency in Asia to win under the category of Management Team of the Year. In the past four years, Pag-IBIG gave more to its 14.5 million members without increasing the monthly premium of P100.  It doubled maximum loanable amount for housing loans (HL) to P6 million, reduced HL interest rates from 11.5 percent to 6.9 percent, provided subsidized HL interest rate to minimum wage earners at 4.5 percent, and reduced calamity loan interest rate from 10.75 percent to 5.95 percent.
