StanChart new Asean markets head

MANILA, Philippines - Standard Chartered Bank (StanChart) has appointed Lim Cheng Teck as the chief executive officer for its ASEAN markets. He reports to Jaspal Bindra, group executive director and chief executive officer for Asia, Standard Chartered PLC. The appointment takes effect on May 2014. To maximize opportunities in key growth regions, the bank implemented a new structure of eight specific regions: Asean, Greater China, North East Asia, MENAP, South Asia, Africa, Europe and the Americas. Lim will be responsible for delivering the refreshed and sharpened strategy to realize the growth and return aspirations for StanChart’s franchise and operations in ASEAN, comprising Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia, Brunei and Australia.
