BanKO opens GCash to accountholders

MANILA, Philippines - BPI Globe BanKO (BanKO) and G-Xchange Inc. has entered into a partnerships allowing BanKO accountholders to avail of innovative GCash services in more outlets nationwide. BanKO is the first mobile-based, microfinance-focused savings bank in the country, and a joint venture between Globe Communications, the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) and Ayala Corp. G-Xchange is the operator of GCash, Globe Telecom’s flagship mobile money service. With the partnership, BanKO accountholders can now cash-in, cash-in to others and cash-out in GCash outlets available in Globe stores, SM department stores, Villarica Pawnshop, PR Bank, GM Bank, One Network Bank (ONB), and other partner rural banks and Globe load distributors nationwide. They simply need to fill out the GCash service form and present a valid ID at any authorized GCash representative. They will receive an SMS confirmation once the transaction has been successful.
