Helping displaced kids

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Pru Life UK, through its charitable arm, Prudence Foundation, has provided young survivors with items from the Cha-Ching Financial Literacy for the Youth Program, in addition to the $2-million pledge for the Super Typhoon Yolanda relief and rebuilding effort. The donated items included notebooks, pencils, coloring materials, workbooks and plush toys, and were distributed to the children rehabilitating at Booth 7 of the Villamor Air Base Survivor’s Processing Zone. Booth 7 is designated as the play therapy area for all internally displaced children. First responders from the University of the Philippines (UP) Sigma Alpha Nu sorority sisters and teachers from Galileo, Little Gym, and Miriam College manned the booth. Photo shows a young survivor eagerly discussing his aspirations in life despite the disaster.
