MANILA, Philippines - Country Bankers Insurance Group (CBIG) is offering secure and affordable insurance plans fit for every Filipino’s needs. The CB Kalinga is the most affordable and comprehensive insurance plan, popular especially among cooperatives, NGOs and financial institutions catering to microfinance. The Classic Benefit Plan offers whole life insurance protection up to age 96 which is payable in just three, five, seven or 10 years.  For ages 50 to 80 years old, the Golden Classic Benefit plan provides whole life protection until 100 years old for a short paying period of only three years.  Aside from giving family protection in case of death,the Classic Benefit Plan provides living benefits to the insured in the form of cash values which provides a source of funds in cases of emergency. Alalay sa Buhay Plan offers individuals from 13 to 70 years old affordable insurance for one year for just P365 per unit. The plan is renewable until age 70 and covers natural death and accidental death.  It also includes a daily hospital confinement benefit for non-pregnancy related cases and instant abuloy as burial assistance in case of death of insured. CBIG has two subsidiaries offering a variety of insurance plans that protect lives as well as properties and assets:  Country Bankers Life Insurance Corp. (CBLIC) for individual and group insurance; and, Country Bankers Insurance Corp. (CBIC) for nonlife insurance (motor vehicle, personal accident, home and fire insurance; among others).
