Philam Life launches financial literacy drive
MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine American Life and General Insurance Co. (Philam Life) is asking Filipinos ‘what are their plans after’ in a campaign that promotes proactive planning to secure one’s future.
Fresh from a very successful campaign called “Kandidato, Anong Plano Mo?†which leveraged on the recent May 2013 mid-term elections, Philam Life is expanding its online and offline reach for its equity line “Anong Plano Mo?†by applying it in various occasions and situations that happen in Filipinos’ daily lives.
Philam Life senior vice president and head of marketing Jessica Abaya said that the insurer urges Filipinos to be proactive and think seriously about their plans for the future not just during the last elections but in their day-to-day lives.
“That’s why we’re asking them questions like, ‘Pasukan na, anong plano mo?’ or ‘Tag-ulan na, anong plano mo?’ or even ‘Graduate ka na, anong plano mo?’. We believe that if you have a dream or a goal in life and you want to make it happen, what you need is the right plan. And we want to empower Filipinos to achieve financial security and prosperity through proper financial planning and education,†Abaya added.
The “Kandidato Anong Plano Mo?†campaign was launched last April 22. It aimed to empower the voting public to ask the candidates running for various positions about their plans for the country.
Filipinos from all over the country responded and uploaded photos of the issues they wanted the candidates to address.
Philam Life’s “Kandidato†instragram account (www.instagram.com/KandidatoAnongPlanoMo?) re-posted the best photos submitted.
As a fitting closing to the campaign, the best photos submitted were featured in a print ad and in a photo exhibit at the Bonifacio High Street Activity Center last June 2.
Abaya said that at the end of the three-week campaign (April 22 to May 13), “Kandidato, Anong Plano Mo?†generated over 2,000 submissions and over 12,600 online conversations.
