Pioneer assists CARD for microinsurance

MANILA, Philippines - The Center for Agricultural and Rural Development (CARD) is offering life, personal accident and disaster protection for one year for just P250, under the CaMIA Paid Plan. The life insurer behind the microinsurance package is Pioneer Life. The product was originally designed as a voluntary benefit exclusive to CARD MRI members but was eventually offered also to non-members or the “open-market” as the clamor outside the institution for an insurance product with comprehensive benefits grew. Pioneer Life also works with CARD MRI’s insurance agency, CaMIA, in developing its pool of microinsurance agents, providing training, and sharing insurance technical know-how.
