Philam Life assists typhoon victims

MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine American Life and General Insurance Co. (Philam Life) has made special concessions to policy owners who were affected by super typhoon “Pablo.” Philam Life, as well as its affiliates Philam Equitable Life Assurance Corp. (Pelac) and BPI-Philam, will be extending its grace period for the payment of premiums from the normal 31 days to 91 days, for policies (traditional policies only) whose due dates fall between Nov. 4, 2012 to Jan. 4, 2013, particularly for policy owners who reside in affected regions such as Palawan, Siquijor, Lanao del Norte, Misamis Oriental, Misamis Occidental, Compostela Valley, Davao Oriental, Davao del Norte, and Surigao del Sur. On top of this, the Philam Life will give priority handling for loan and claims applications from affected policyholders, and will also waive fees related to any request for issuance of duplicates of policy contracts that were destroyed by the rains or floods.
