Globe facilitates remittances from US

MANILA, Philippines - G-Xchange Inc. (GXI), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Globe Telecom, has entered into a strategic alliance with Remitly, a US-based online remittance provider, to offer a quick and innovative remittance solution from the United States to the Philippines. Filipinos living and working in the US can send money to the Philippines anytime of the day by using a computer and logging on to the Remitly website. Beneficiaries in the Philippines will instantly receive the remittance the same day the money is sent, either directly on their Globe or TM phone via GCash or through the GCash Remit cash pick-up service. Using GCash, recipients can opt to cash out funds or use it for sending money to others, buying load and paying bills. Remittances received through the GCash Remit cash pick-up service can be claimed from more than 6,000 GCash Remit locations nationwide including Globe Stores, PR Savings Bank, GM Bank, Villarica, Tambunting and Prime Asia Pawnshop branches, among others. To start sending money, Filipinos in the US simply need to create an account via www.remitly.com and select GCash or GCash Remit to begin their transaction.
