Bank Mandiri of Indonesia taps IT providers

MANILA, Philippines - Indonesia’s largest bank, Bank Mandiri has appointed Bina Indonusa System and iCreate Software for business intelligence-enabling its micro and retail banking. This strategic project entails consulting, analytics, software development and reporting automation spanning Bank Mandiri’s three key functions – mass banking, eBanking and wealth management. Bank Mandiri is one of the foremost banks in Indonesia, providing services in the corporate, commercial, micro & retail, consumer finance and treasury, and financial institutions & special asset management segments. Its subsidiaries consist of Mandiri Sekuritas (capital markets), Bank Syariah Mandiri (Shariah banking), AXA-Mandiri Financial Services (life insurance), Mandiri Axa General Services (general insurance), Bank Sinar Harapan Bali (micro, small, and medium enterprise sector) and Mandiri Tunas Finance (financing). As of December 2011, Bank Mandiri employed more than 27,305 staff, and operated 1,537 branches in Indonesia, and seven branches/representative offices/subsidiaries overseas. It operates 8,996 automated teller machines (ATMs), which were connected to 22,794 units of ATM Link network, and 92,903 Electronic Data Capture machines, in addition to offering a range of other electronic channels, including, Internet banking, SMS banking and call center 14000.
