Malayan Insurance gets PIRA awards

MANILA, Philippines - Malayan Insurance has scored twin victories recently in the 1st Philippine Non-Life Insurance Awards organized by the Philippine Insurers and Reinsurers Association (PIRA). Malayan won the Best in Corporate Governance and Best in Corporate Social Responsibility – the two categories where Malayan was nominated. Malayan received the governance award in recognition of processes and structures that enhanced corporate accountability and promoted honesty among its people, while taking into account the interests of its stakeholders. The Best in Corporate Social Responsibility plum was in recognition of Malayan’s Street Education Program (SEP), which has been running for over a decade. The PIRA Awards is the first and only badge of excellence for the Philippine non-life insurance industry.
