PSBank branch network hits 194

MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Savings Bank (PSBank) has opened seven more branches so far to bring the total number of its branch network to 194.

The target is to bring it to an even 200 branches by the end of 2011.

PSBank first vice president and Branch Banking Group head Ismael Reyes said the thrift bank arm of the Metrobank Group plans to open another six branches.

“Part of our long-term vision is to bring PSBank closer to customers by improving its accessibility and making banking transactions even more convenient,” Reyes added.

This includes three new branches in Kalibo, Antipolo and Cavite. Aklan-Kalibo is PSBank’s first branch in the province while Antipolo-Masinag is its fourth branch in the city. The Cavite-Bacoor branch is the sixth in the province. 

Last month, PSBank opened branches in Pulilan, Bulacan; Sta. Cruz, Laguna; Valenzuela and Matina, Davao.

In all, the bank has 109 branches in Metro Manila, 49 in Luzon, 21 in Visayas and 15 in Mindanao.

PSBank likewise put up over 104 in-branch and offsite automated teller machines (ATMs) so far this year, bringing the total to 483 units nationwide.

The bank switched on new offsite ATMs including those found in the LRT 1 and 2 stations.

Aside from these, other offsite ATMs can be found in the following: malls - SM San Pablo and Masinag, Landmark Trinoma 2, 168 Mall, A. Venue Mall; supermarkets - Super 8 branches in Shaw and Tarlac, Shoppesville, Barretto Minimart; entertainment centers- Blue Wave Marikina and Macapagal, Metrowalk; Corinthian Hills, Newport City; schools - Colegio de San Juan de Letran in Calamba; and, hospitals - Calamba Medical Center, Calamba Doctors Hospital.

Of the total network of 483 ATMs, 428 are found in Luzon, 38 in Visayas and 17 in Mindanao, including its first drive-through ATM in Davao.
