Bankers Assurance offers microinsurance

MANILA, Philippines - Bankers Assurance Corp. (BAC), a subsidiary of the Malayan Group of Insurance Companies, the country’s largest non-life insurance group, and Tambunting Pawnshop have inked a deal that will provide innovative, simple, and affordable microinsurance products to clients of Tambunting, its subsidiaries, and affiliates. Through the program called “Tulong Tambunting,” the BAC-Tambunting partnership aims to provide personal accident insurance and fire assistance plus other benefits not only to Tambunting pawners but also to their immediate family members. The program was the result of BAC’s goal of extending the benefits of microinsurance to new markets and help pawners and their families in times of need.
