BPI honors overseas Filipino families

-

MANILA, Philippines –  President Noynoy Aquino led the awarding of Model OFW Family of the Year Award (MOFYA) at the annual awarding ceremony held recently. The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) continues to honor exemplary OFW Families through this annual event. For sixth year and running, the award honors outstanding OFW families who have demonstrated best practices in achieving success in their respective professions as well as in maintaining strong family relations even in the face of overseas migration of one or more members of the household. The award also seeks to recognize families who have made a positive impact in their community. “BPI has been committed to empower our overseas Filipinos not only in showing support for awards such as the MOFYA but also through our own BPInoy programs,” Aurelio R. Montinola III, BPI president said, adding that BPI also lifts up the overseas Filipino through its specifically designed programs such as the BPInoy Learning Programs, the Search for Ten Outstanding Expat Pinoy Children, and the BPInoy Awards.
