Citi ups techno ante
MANILA, Philippines - Technology in its different forms has made life, and banking, easier for consumers. This message was the focus in the recent BancNet E-banking Forum, which positioned technology as a tool in making customer’s banking experience more convenient and easier.
One of the main speakers in the forum was Citibank Philippines’ Consumer e-Business head Melissa Henson, who spoke about “Leveraging Technology to Engage the Customer.”
Henson shared that Filipinos are updated with the latest global trends in the digital space, with more than 25 million Internet users and over 70 percent of the population equipped with mobile phones.
Citi supported the Philippine digital trend by introducing Citibank Online and Citi Mobile Banking. These new digital services utilize emerging channels such as Internet and mobile to enable customers to manage their finances and make banking transactions at their own convenience.
“The time of the day and their location should not limit their access to banking services. We want make banking services truly accessible, whenever our clients need it and wherever they may be, physical or digital space,” the Citi executive said.
Citi customers enjoy round the clock banking. They can make account inquiries, pay bills, transfer funds, view banking and credit card statements, order checks, and redeem their Citi Rewards through its multi-awarded Internet banking channel, Citi Online.
In addition, the breakthrough launch of Citi Mobile Banking has extended this service to customers’ mobile phones, allowing them to make banking transactions by logging on to Citi’s online banking service using their mobile phone browsers.
