ATR KimEng Securities best broker in Philippines
MANILA, Philippines – ATR KimEng Securities Inc. (ATRKE Securities) was named “Best Broker” in the Philippines recently by leading financial print and online publication FinanceAsia in its 2010 Country Awards for Achievement, an annual look at the best financial services firms in each country around the region.
This is the fourth time, and the third consecutive year that ATRKE Securities was bestowed the award by the Hong Kong-based publication. The brokerage house was cited once again for its superior research, sales, and execution capabilities.
ATRKE Securities also ranked tops in the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) in terms of value turnover in 2009, making it the bourse’s top stockbroker for the year. Its total turnover value of P379 billion ranked far ahead of its foreign broker competitors.
The company has remained active in the capital markets this year. A total turnover value of P17.8 billion in June gave it an 11.89-percent share of the market and the no. 1 position at the PSE’s Trading Participants’ Ranking Report.
ATRKE Securities chairman and president Lorenzo Roxas said that despite the challenging environment in the capital markets, the latest recognition was a testament to the quality and good track record of the company’s people.
“Our teams are driven by one objective and that is total client satisfaction. Through continued investments in talent and product we hope to provide our clients with value added investment advice that helps them achieve their equity portfolio objectives,” he added.
ATRKE Securities, the stockbrokerage arm of publicly-listed ATR KimEng Financial Corp., provides extensive sales, research and execution capabilities to both foreign and domestic investors, institutional and retail. It also has an international distribution capability in Singapore, Hong Kong, the United States and the United Kingdom through the offices of Kim Eng Holdings Ltd., a publicly-listed company in Singapore.
“2010 will continue to be challenging given the competitive landscape so it is important for us to remain client focused. Our competitive strengths, however, should provide the leverage for us to maintain our standing among the top brokers in the country,” the ATR Securities chairman added.
