Pampanga RB offers mobile banking

-

MANILA, Philippines - GR Bank, a rural bank based in Pampanga, has joined the mobile banking network of Globe Telecommunications through its subsidiary G-Xchange Inc. (GXI). GR Bank will utilize GCash, the mobile commerce platform of GXI, to expand its banking operations. Initially, the bank will accommodate cash-in and cash-out and GCASH Remit services.

It will later be able to perform bank transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, remittances and loan payments, among others.

The opportunity to practice mobile phone banking was facilitated by the Rural Bankers Association of the Philippines and the Microenterprise Access to Banking Services (MABS) program. GR Bank, which operates 15 branches in Pampanga, Tarlac, Olongapo and Bataan, joins more than 60 rural banks now offering GCASH-based in over 885 rural bank branches and other banking offices nationwide.
