BPI launches OF literacy program

-

MANILA, Philippines - The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) continues its efforts to provide financial literacy to its clients, especially Overseas Filipinos (OFs) and their beneficiaries. As part of its initiative to teach Overseas Filipinos various financial solutions and management, BPI recently conducted BPInoy Learning Series caravans in Cebu and Cagayan de Oro last month.

The BPInoy Learning Series is part of the BPI’s Expat Pinoy Program to reach out to BPI clients as well as other Overseas Filipinos and their families. For 2009, It had been held in Iloilo, Cavite, Dumaguete, and Davao, among others.

“We continue to go around the country and take on the role as educator. This is our way of giving back to the Overseas Filipinos and help them “Expect More” from life, as our BPI campaign line goes,” adds Teresita B. Tan, Head of Overseas Banking and Channels Services Group of BPI.

The Learning Series is implemented through caravans usually held in malls or private function rooms. Since its inception in 2005, BPI has held more than 60 such caravans all over the country.
